A living asset.
Nature-aligned landscapes: waterwise, indigenous and low-maintenance, designed and delivered from plan to plot.
Gardens that belong to their place.
Imbali is a nature-aligned landscape design studio based in Wilderness on the Garden Route. We create gardens that belong to their place: waterwise, rooted in indigenous planting, and designed to thrive with minimal upkeep.
We take a project from first sketch to final planting. We design, build and project-manage every stage, from site planning, irrigation and stonework to pools, water features, green walls, and the furniture and planters that finish a space. The result is a landscape that looks effortless, works with the climate rather than against it, and gets better with every season.
Planting and irrigation planned around every drop, for gardens that hold up through dry seasons.
Rooted in the plants of this landscape, from fynbos to forest edge, so the garden feels it was always there.
Designed to settle in and mature with ease, so you spend your time enjoying it, not tending it.
Stone, water, light and living green.
Everything, from plan to plot.
We design, implement and project-manage, so one team carries your landscape from the first site visit to the last planter.

“What makes her approach particularly special is her ability to understand the natural character of an area and design around it rather than trying to compete with it. Our garden always had enormous potential, but very little structure or direction. Lizl has transformed it into something truly magnificent.”
“Imbali Landscapers transformed my world. When I moved to the Garden Route, I had no idea how to grow a garden that made sustainable, ecological sense. Lizl arrived with creative vision, intuitive knowledge and a long-term strategy that started transforming my space straight away. She begins from a grounded, affordable starting point, yet adapts easily as a project grows. Imbali is trustworthy, professional, courageous and rooted in an unrivalled respect for nature. I would recommend Lizl’s passionate service again and again.”
“Lizl is amazing with what she does and the love and passion she has with working with plants is so visible. Lizl helped us with the gardens for a wedding and it was nothing less than spectacular!”
“Friendly, passionate owners and a wonderful eye for plants. Imbali brings beautiful, living spaces together with real care. Well done!”
